Khaki is undeniably big for SS15. Khaki, forming part of the whole utility/military ensemble, has been making waves for, well, as long as I can remember. Variations of the khaki trend were seen throughout SS15 runway shows from the likes of; Ralph Lauren, Chanel and Michael Kors, to name just a few. Personally, I am a huge fan of this trend. I think it’s easy to wear – just adding a splash of this colour can instantly transform your outfit – and it’s everywhere on the high street so super affordable.
When House of Fraser asked if I would like to pick something to review, I jumped at the chance to review this super on-trend shirt I spotted in their petite collection (Dorothy Perkins). Being a petite blogger, I thought it was apt to discuss some of the amazing ranges a lot of high street and department store now have to offer. I used to really struggle with finding correctly fitting clothing – jeans are a nightmare – but more and more high street stores are expanding or bringing in a petite range. One of my favourites has always been Miss Selfridge, but I’m realising there is increasingly a lot more out there on offer. Happy days!
I must point out that the day we shot these pictures it was freeeezing! I was shivering so bad and felt awful for my poor boyfriend who I’d roped into taking the photos for me. But I had to brave the weather conditions because I really wanted to get the shots taken outside; mainly because I think they look loads better and because I have nowhere suitable in my flat to shoot them. What a hard life it is ay?
Anyway. Here are the shots of my khaki shirt courtesy of House of Fraser. See more of their petite collection here.
So who else will be sporting lots of khaki this season?
