I have been a very bad blogger. I am so far behind on posting stuff for you guys, I apologise!
Anyway, I hope this post keeps you interested for now. And yes, this is what we got up to on Valentine’s Day, better late than never right?!
So, on February 14th, I was spoilt with a trip to the Ballet.
Knowing my love affair with dance, my boyfriend had kindly booked us tickets to see Le Corsaire at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.
Having now lived in Manchester for two years I am ashamed to say this was my first visit to the Palace Theatre, and what a grand old Theatre it is!
Le Corsaire tells the story of pirates, one in particular, who leads his gang and sets sail to rescue the girl he has fallen for from a slave trader. My other half was pleasantly surprised with the theme of the show, as he admitted he hadn’t read anything about it prior to booking. The story definitely made for a slightly more entertaining show. There was even some comedy value thrown in there – I shan’t spoil anything for you though.
All the dancers were brilliant, although Yonah Acosta, a junior soloist, was for me the stand-out performer of the entire show; wowing the audience with his scintillating, flawless moves. The costumes were show stopping too – beautiful jewelled colours and glittering with Swarovski crystal it definitely contributed to the superb visual performance.
I loved every minute of my night at the ballet. Even running down Oxford Road in heels like bloody Usain Bolt when we thought we were late and arriving looking very windswept!
Here is a snap of my outfit for a night at the ballet.

This was certainly a Valentine’s Day I won’t forget in a hurry!
Did you guys get up to anything exciting on Valentine’s? I feel like I have been MIA the last few weeks, but I am back and here to stay!
